William Logue's Obituary
William F. "Bill" Logue age 71, of North Ridgeville passed away Friday January 8, 2010 at Fairview Hospital following a battle with cancer.
Born in Cleveland, he had resided in North Ridgeville the past 20 years after moving from Sheffield Lake.
Mr. Logue served in the US Marine Corps 29 years retiring as a Master Gunnery Sargent in 1984. He served all over the world including Vietnam. He then went on to work for the Veterans Administration for an additional 11 years.
He was a life member of VFW post 9871 and the Elyria Marine Corps League where he served on the color guard.
He enjoyed spending time with his family and bird watching.
Survivors include his wife of 20 years, Fern (nee Crigger), sons John Runyon of Lorain, Chuck (Kathy) Runyon of Grafton, Mike (Renee) Logue of Cleveland, Steve (Rose) Runyon of Bowling Springs Lake, NC, Charles Logue of Cleveland, David Runyon of Nova, and Ernest Runyon of Grafton, daughters, Carol (Larry) Harrold of Apex, NC Alyce Walters of Elyria, Judy (Percy) Wilson of Wellington, and Catherine (David) Wilson of Louisville, KY, 23 grandchildren, 10 great grand children.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Helen Logue and two brothers, Edward Haywood and Harry Logue.
The family will receive friends Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at David Bogner Family Funeral Home 36625 Center Ridge Road North Ridgeville. A prayer service will be held 9:30 AM Wednesday in the funeral home followed by 10 AM Mass at St. Peter Church. Burial will be in Butternut Ridge Cemetery, Eaton Township.

The VFW Post 9871 honor guard will stand guard Tuesday from 7-9 PM at the funeral home. The Elyria Marine Corps League will conduct full military honors at the grave site on Wednesday.
