William C. Hemmer's Obituary
William C. Hemmer, age 85, of North Ridgeville, passed away Thursday, December 25, 2014 at University Hospital Elyria Medical Center.
He was born in Sandusky and had been a resident of North Ridgeville for the past 18 years moving from Strongsville.
He worked as a heavy equipment operator for Local #18 for over 50 years, retiring in 1992.
He was a member of St. Peter Catholic church in North Ridgeville.
He enjoyed restoring old autos and home remodeling projects.
Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Verna (nee Good); daughter, Faye (John) Krawcheck of Elyria; sons, William Jr. (Maureen) of Newella, OK, Steven of Broadview Hts., Thomas (Nancy) of Strongsville, Anthony (Cynthia) of North Ridgeville; 9 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; brothers, Larry of Palm Coast, FL, Melvin (Donna) of Norwalk; sisters, Irene Aceto of Norwalk, Nancy Trumpaor; many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by son, Michael; parents, Charles and Helen (nee Carney) Hemmer; brothers, John, Gerald and Roland; sisters, Helen Kline and Esther Hughes.
Friends may call Sunday from 4-6PM at the Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Road, North Ridgeville. A Memorial Mass will be held on Monday at 10 AM at St. Peter Catholic Church, 35777 Center Ridge Road, North Ridgeville. Fr. Bob Sanson, will be the celebrant.
