William Gill's Obituary
William M. Gill, 91 of Elyria, passed away Sunday March 19, 2006 at Elyria United Methodist Village following a short illness.
He was born November 13, 1914 in Elyria and lived in Avon for most of his life where he owned and operated Gill's Greenhouse for thirty-five years. Mr. Gill then moved back to Elyria in 2002.
He was a member of St. Mary Of The Immaculate Conception Church, Avon, and enjoyed hunting, fishing, bowling, and card playing.
Surviving are four sons, Leonard of Elyria, William J. of Wellington, Ray Buel of Idaho, and Wayne of Grafton; ten grandchildren; twenty-two great-grandchildren; and a sister, Mae Youngless of Amherst.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Elaine in 1996; parents, John and Pauline Gill; four brothers, Stanley, John, Joe, and Hank; and three sisters, Helen Hasley, Celia Urig, and Ann Keller.
Friends will be received Tuesday from 7-9PM at the David Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Rd., North Ridgeville, where a prayer service will be held at 9:30AM Wednesday. Funeral Mass will be at 10:00AM Wednesday at St. Mary Of The Immaculate Conception Church, 2640 Stoney Ridge Rd., Avon with Rev. Thomas Cleaton officiating. Interment will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Avon.
Memorial contributions are suggested to New Life Hospice, 5255 N. Abbe Rd., Elyria, OH 44035 in lieu of flowers.
