William Dunbar's Obituary
William J. Dunbar, age 82, of North Ridgeville, passed away Monday at the North Ridge Health Center, North Ridgeville, following a long illness.
He was born in Cleveland and had been a resident of North Ridgeville since 1986having moved from Avon Lake.
He served in the US Army during WWII in the 7th Armored Division Infantry.
Mr. Dunbar worked as an inspector for Brown Fin Tube Company, Elyria from 1946 until retiring in 1985. He then worked as a custodian at Lake Ridge Academy, North Ridgeville for 15 years.
He enjoyed fishing, throwing darts and bowling.
Survivors include his son, Tom Lehman of Elyria and caretaker, Deanna Arnold of Elyria.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Katherine J. Dunbar in 2000 and his parents, Clarence and Irene Dunbar.
Friends may call Wednesday from 10:00AM until the time of services at 11:00AM at the David Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Road, North Ridgeville. Rev. Chuck Behrens will officiate.
Burial will be at Brookdale Cemetery, Elyria where VFW Post 1079 will conduct full military honors.
