William "Don" D. Chapman's Obituary
William D. “Don” Chapman, age 88, of Sheffield Lake, passed away on Friday, June 21, 2024, at Ames Family Hospice in Westlake, surrounded by his family. He was born in Richwood, WV, and moved to the Northeast Ohio area in 1963, settling in Sheffield Lake in the early '70s. He worked as a Die Setter for Donn Products before retiring in 2003. He was a member of the U.S. Army. Don enjoyed woodworking, loved to tinker, but mostly cherished spending time with his family.
He is survived by his son William “Mark” (Pamela Weidner) of Lorain; grandchildren Zack, Josh, and Adam Weidner; great-grandchildren Ava, Crew, Myles, and Carson; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife Susan, daughter Pamela Sue Chapman, and brother Hayes Chapman.
The family will receive friends Wednesday from 12pm until the time of service at 1pm at Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Rd, North Ridgeville. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memory Gardens, Avon, with full military honors. Deacon Tom McCourt will officiate.
