William Burnside's Obituary
William Stanley Burnside, age 61, of Elyria, passed away Friday at EMH Regional Medical Center, Elyria following a long illness.
Born in Weston, West Virginia, he was a resident of Elyria for the past 40 years.
Mr. Burnside served in the Army Reserves.
He worked as a welder for USS/Kobe Steel Plant in Lorain for 30 years until retiring in 2000.
He was a member of Faith Baptist Temple, North Ridgeville; Gold-Wing Road Riders Association and United Steel Workers Local 1104.
He enjoyed riding motor cycles, playing cards, wood working, golf and spending time with his grandchildren.
Survivors include his daughter, Michelle Buga of Elyria; son, Jeffrey of Elyria; 12 grandchildren; sister, Nancy Biggs of North Ridgeville; brother, Steve of Grafton; companion of many years, Sharon Burnside of Grafton.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Pauline Burnside.
Friends may call Sunday from 1-4PM at the David Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Road, North Ridgeville. Funeral services will be held on Monday at 11:00AM in the funeral home. Rev. Ray Carpenter, Pastor of Faith Baptist Temple will officiate. Burial will be in Resthaven Memory Gardens, Avon where VFW Post 1079 will conduct military honors.
