William "Bill" Nowagarski's Obituary
William “Bill” J. Nowagarski, age 80 of Grafton, passed away Monday. March 4, 2024, at his home surrounded by his family. He was born in Carnegie, PA and had been a resident of Grafton for 47 years. He was a member of the US Navy, American Legion Post 717, and Eaton Township Fire Dept for 36 years as a Fire Fighter Safety Officer, EMT, and State Arson Investigator. He was a 40-year member of North Eaton Christian Church Disciples of Christ where he served as a Deacon. He worked as a Central Office Technician over 30 years for Ohio Bell/ATT retiring in 2004. He was also a Co-Founder and committee member of the Eaton Township Veteran’s Memorial as well as a softball coach for Elyria Catholic and Midview High. He had 33 years of service for the North Eaton Hot Stove and OGSO where he was Coach, Umpire, Mentor, and Field Director. He is survived by his children Ben (Hailey) Nowargarski, Mary Lane; grandchildren John (Samantha Mancuso) Nowagarski, Daryan (Robert Adkins) Lane, Robert (Michaela Clark) Nowagarski, Michael (Katelin Hales) Willmitch, Steve (Riley) Nowagarski, Ben Nowagarski, Austin DuRell, Addison Reisinger, Evangeline Reisinger; great grandchildren Aiden, Violet, Emmett, Daisy. He was preceded in death by his wife Nancy; son John Michael; parents Ben and Stella Nowagarski; sister Roberta Kiska. Visitation Saturday March 9th from 2pm to 7pm at Bogner Family Funeral Home 36625 Center Ridge Rd, North Ridgeville. Service on Monday March 11th at 3pm at North Eaton Christian Church 35895 Royalton Rd, Grafton. Rev. David T. Chafin will officiate. Burial will follow at Butternut Ridge Cemetery. The service will also be live stream on the North Eaton Christian Church YouTube Channel.
