William L. "Bill" Batson Jr.'s Obituary
William L. “Bill” Batson Jr., age 66, of North Ridgeville, Ohio, passed away on Thursday, May 27, 2021 at University Hospital in Cleveland following a brief illness.
Born in Aurora, Illinois, Bill grew up in Yorkville, Illinois graduating from YHS in 1973 eventually moving to North Ridgeville and making it his home for 30 years.
William worked as a machinist for Parker Hannifin for many years, retiring in 2020.
He enjoyed fishing and boating and was a car enthusiast who also enjoyed working on them just as much as driving them.
Survivors include his stepdaughters, Beth (Jeff) Barrick of Sierra Vista, Arizona, Lori (Donnie) Minick of Plano, Illinois; sister, Linda Gifford of Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin, brother, Michael of Fayetteville, North Carolina; many nieces and nephews, cousins and his Aunt Barb and Uncle Don; good friend, Greg Keaton of Grafton, Ohio, and his beloved dog, Ginger.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Lois (nee Durnal), parents, William Sr. and Carol Batson.
Friends may call Tuesday, June 1, 2021 from 5PM until the time of services at 7PM at Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Road, North Ridgeville. Rev. Chuck Behrens will officiate.
