Willa Maxine Thomas' Obituary
W. Maxine Thomas (nee Piggee), age 89, of North Ridgeville, passed away on Sunday, April 26, 2020 at the home of her daughter.
She was born in Shelby County, Tennessee and had been a resident of North Ridgeville since April 14th moving from Cleveland where she had lived since 1952.
Maxine worked as a cleaner for New Process Fur Cleaner in Cleveland during the 1950’s and 60’s.
She was a member of Euclid Ave. Congregational Church and loved reading her Bible every day.
She enjoyed reading, sewing, crocheting, needle pointing, crossword puzzles and traveling to Hawaii, Florida (Disney World), and Las Vegas.
Survivors include her daughter, Barbara Hughley, granddaughter, Leesa Hughley, great-grandson, Tristan Cannon, great-granddaughter, Breahonna Fitzpatrick, sister-in-law, Eleanor Campbell, brothers, Larry (Theodora) Campbell, Odis (Jeanette “Cookie”) Campbell, Dr. Earl (Sheila) Campbell, many nieces, nephews and her cousin Arwilda Whiteside with whom she was very close.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Eddie and LT Piggee, brothers, Eddie Piggee, Anthony Campbell and Frank Piggee.
Services will be private.
