Wilbur Palmer's Obituary
Wilbur G. "Willy" Palmer, age 83, of North Ridgeville, died on Tuesday, October 31, 2006 at Saint John West Shore Hospital, Westlake; following a long illness.
He was born in Proctor, WV and had been a resident of North Ridgeville the past 27 years; having moved from Lakewood.
Mr Palmer worked twenty-three years as a certified welder for Pesco Products, Bedford. He retired in 1974.
He was a member of the 1st United Pentecostal Church of Parma; where he was the book keeper until 2000.
He enjoyed fishing and hunting.
Survivors include his son, Glenn Palmer, of Westlake; daughter Tamra Drda, of Lakewood; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; brother, Carl Palmer, of Moundsville, WV; sisters, Blanche Hartley, of Moundsville, WV and Margaret Richmond, of Gulf Port, FL.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William J. and Bertha M. (nee West) Palmer; brothers, Ralph and Lawrence; sisters, Mildred West, Mary Lambert, Ada Pettit, Audrey Palmer, Louise Palmer and Opal Palmer.
Friends may call from 2-4 and 7-9 PM Thursday at the David Bogner Family Funeral Home 36625 Center Ridge Road North Ridgeville where funeral services will be held on Friday at 11AM. Brother Robert O'Bannion, pastor of the 1st United Pentecostal Church, Parma, will officiate. Burial will follow in Resthaven Memory Gardens, Avon.
