Warren Cunningham's Obituary
Warren T. Cunningham, 89 of North Ridgeville passed away Sunday, October 17, 2010 at The Lutheran Home in Westlake after a brief illness. He was born in Ohiopyle, PA and had resided in North Ridgeville the past 57 years. He had been employed as an assembler for Bendix Westinghouse in Elyria retiring in the mid 1970's. A U.S. Army Air Corps veteran, he served our country as a pilot in the Pacific Theater during WW II. Warren loved to fly and he owned his own Taylorcraft single engine plane. He also enjoyed golf and he worked as a groundskeeper at Hilliard Lakes Golf Course in Westlake. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed marksmanship. Warren cherished time spent with family especially his grandchildren. Survivors include daughters, Hallie A. Cunningham of North Ridgeville and Lori J. (Jerry) Workman of Amherst, grandchildren, Shelby and Matthew Workman, sisters Sara Orr of Wisconsin, Ruth Ann Philips of San Diego, CA and Janet Stoffregen of El Cajon, CA and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Helen in 2004, his parents, Helen (Rush) and Matthew Ross Cunningham, brothers, Roy and Jack Cunningham and a sister, Eleanor Arouze. Friends may call from 5-8 P.M. Wednesday, October 20, 2010 at the David Bogner Family Funeral Home 36625 Center Ridge Rd., North Ridgeville where funeral services will be held at 12 Noon Thursday, October 21, 2010. Rev. Chuck Behrens will officiate. Entombment will follow at Resthaven Memory Gardens, Avon. Memorial contributions are suggested to the donor's favorite charity.
