John- Ellen and I offer our deepest sympathies over the loss of your mother. We both know how painful that loss can be. Fortunately we, like you, have a deep and abiding faith in the Lord. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family in these most difficult times. Mike Keys

Wanda was a beautiful Christian woman. She was my Pro Life mentor.
On hearing of the death of Mrs. Jurco, I felt sad, but being a believing Catholic, I was comforted by this belief. I am confident that she is experiencing greater joy that we can ever experience here on earth. I knew Mrs. Jurco through being friends with her son, John, and really the whole Jurco family always made me feel at home in their presence. In thinking of Mrs. Jurco I am reminded of Holy Thursday which we just celebrated recently. Jesus humbly washed the feet of his disciples. That is how I will always remember Mrs. Jurco, humbling serving others, doing God’s will. When I visited, she was always doing, anything large or small that needed doing, with love, for her family. I don’t think I ever saw her sit down. Although I know she did sit by the bedside of her disabled daughter Joanne, loving her. Outside of the home Mrs. Jurco served her parish, St. Peter, as an organist, playing at daily mass for decades. She served all of mankind with her short, beautiful, factual, poignant letters to the editor. She spoke for those who could not speak for themselves, the children in the wombs of their mothers. Jesus said the greatest among you will be the one who serves. This world has lost one of its greatest. Thank you for showing us how, Mrs. Jurco. In recent years I have only had frequent contact with one of Mrs. Jurco’s children, John, and I can say she taught him well. He is following her example of serving the Lord and others. My condolence to the whole wonderful Jurco family and all her friends. You are and will continue to be in my in my prayers. Tom Edwards
