Walter Hoffstetter's Obituary
Walter F. “Skip” Hoffstetter, age 65, of North Ridgeville, passed away Tuesday, March 22, 2011, at EMH Regional Medical Center, Elyria, following a short illness.
Born in Lakewood, he was a resident of North Ridgeville for most of his life.
Walter worked as a patrolman and DARE officer for the city of North Ridgeville for 27 years, retiring in 1996.
He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Police Lodge #25 in Westlake.
Skip was an avid NASCAR fan and car enthusiast.
He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Judi (nee Demyan) Hoffstetter and son, John of North Ridgeville.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter Sr. and Rosella Hoffstetter.
Friends may call Friday from 6-9 PM at the David Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Rd., North Ridgeville. Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 11 AM in the funeral home. Rev. Brian Palmer, Chaplain of North Ridgeville Police Dept., will officiate.
Burial will be in Fields Cemetery, North Ridgeville.
