Wallace Tomski's Obituary
Wallace Tomski, age 85, of Elyria, died suddenly on Friday evening, August 5, 2005 at EMH Regional Medical Center, Elyria.
He was born in Elyria and had been a resident of Elyria the past 33 years; having moved from North Ridgeville.
He served in the United States Air Force during WWII.
Mr. Tomski was an ironworker 20 years for the Local 17 Cleveland Ironworkers Union. He retired in 1984.
He was a member of Saint Peter Catholic Church, North Ridgeville.
He enjoyed yard work. He loved his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He especially enjoyed telling them jokes.
Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Lucille (nee Schroeder) Tomski; son, Gary (Janice) Tomski, of Gold Canyon, AZ; daughter, Patricia (Robert) Kristof, of Plantation, FL; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; brother, Carl Tomski, of Elyria and sister, Mary Love, of Roanoke, VA.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Frances (nee Kazabinski) Tomski; four brothers and three sisters.
Visitation for family and friends are on Tuesday from 6PM until the time of the service at 8PM at the David Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Road, North Ridgeville. Reverend Doctor Richard Gonser, pastor of Saint Julie Billiart Catholic Church, North Ridgeville will officiate at the service.
