Virginia Pfarr's Obituary
Virginia M. "Ginny" Pfarr (nee Shaw), age 89, of North Ridgeville, passed away Thursday, November 2, 2006 at the Belvedere Assisted Living, Westlake, following a short illness.
Born in Pontiac, Michigan, she was a resident of North Ridgeville since 1978 moving from Rocky River.
She worked as an administrative assistant to the president of Fairview General Hospital, where she became Director of Development in 1973. In 1981, she and her husband, Harold, created Pfarr Associates, Inc., which was a small business consulting firm.
She also served the Greater Cleveland Red Cross as Chairman of the Speakers Bureau.
She was a member of the Friends of the Library at Porter Library, Westlake and a retired board member of Friends of Fare West Center. She enjoyed knitting, reading, housekeeping and shopping.
She is survived by her son, Frederick "Rick" Pfarr of North Ridgeville.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold "Harry", January 11, 2004; brother, John E. Beach in 1952; sisters, Clare L. Hammond, Margaret J. Brown; parents, Adam E. And Eva M. (nee Clegg) Shaw.
Friends may call 10:30AM until time of services at 12:30 PM Monday at the David Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Road, North Ridgeville. Reverend Stephen Kaminski, Pastor of St. Peter Church will officiate.
Burial will be in Lakewood Park Cemetery, Rocky River.
