Virginia Martin's Obituary
Virginia D. Martin (nee Uphold), age 79, of Amherst Township, died Saturday at Manor Care Nursing Home, North Olmsted following a long illness.
She was born in Fairchance, Pennsylvania and had been a resident of Amherst Township since 1993 moving from Mount Pleasant, South Carolina. She previously lived in North Ridgeville and Cleveland.
Mrs. Martin worked as a waitress and assembly line worker.
She was a great cook and collected recipe books.
Survivors include her husband; of 10 years, Robert O. Martin; daughters Karen Williams of North Ridgeville, Wanda Schaum of North Olmsted and Donna Harris; 5 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; brother, David Harn of East Millsboro, Pennsylvania; sister Joanne Swartz of Goose Creek, South Carolina; half brother Marion "Dink" Harn of Kent, Ohio.
She was preceded in death by her father Victor Uphold; mother Edith Harn; brother, Ken "Sonnie" Uphold.
Friends may call Monday, from 7-9 PM at the David Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Road, North Ridgeville; where services will be held on Tuesday at 11:00 AM. .
Reverend Kevin Crow, pastor of Harvest Ridge Assembly of God, will officiate.
Burial will be in Resthaven Memory Gardens, Avon.
