Viola Auner's Obituary
Viola Mary "Vi" Auner, age 81, formerly of North Ridgeville, died Friday evening, December 28, 2012 at Normandy Manor, Rocky River following a short illness. Viola was born June 2, 1931 in Cleveland to the late Charles and Lillian (nee Weishit) Fassinger.
She was also preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Thomas Auner, Sr. on January 9, 2003; sisters, Betty Walker and Pearl Deeks; and brothers, Howard and Harold Fassinger.
A member of St. Peter Catholic Church, North Ridgeville, Viola was a homemaker. She enjoyed garage sales, cooking for her family and decorating her home for holidays. Viola will be fondly remembered for her creativity, helpfulness and for her friendly demeanor.
She is lovingly survived by her children, Thomas Jr. of Fairview Park, Ray (Sandy) of North Ridgeville, James "J.C." (Denise) of North Royalton, Joe (Angie) of North Ridgeville, and Kathryn "Katy" (Dan) Dodge of Chicago, IL; 12 grandchildren; and 2 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. in the Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Road, North Ridgeville. Prayers will begin in the funeral home on Thursday, January 3, 2013 at 9:30 a.m. followed by 10 a.m. Funeral Mass at St. Peter Catholic Church, 35777 Center Ridge Road, North Ridgeville. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery.
