Vincent Piccolomini's Obituary
Vincent J. Piccolomini, age 80, of North Ridgeville, passed away Sunday, September 6, 2009 at St. John West Shore Hospital, Westlake, following a sudden illness.
Born in Fayette County, Pennsylvania, he grew up in Cardale, PA and was a resident of North Ridgeville for the past 41 years.
He worked as a concrete finisher for several years, most recently working with Armaro Heating and Cooling, retiring in 2007.
Mr. Piccolomini served on and was a chairperson of the North Ridgeville Planning Commission and the Zoning Board of Appeals in the 1970's and 80's.
Vincent was a former member and Past President of North Ridgeville Lions Club, and helped organize the 1st Lorain County All Star Football game. He also coached Hot Stove baseball in North Ridgeville for many years. He also enjoyed vegetable gardening and playing with his grand-daughter.
Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Jane; twin sons, Daniel and Dario (Janice) both of Uniontown, Pennsylvania, Vincent II (Karen) of Bay Village, Rocco (Michele) of North Ridgeville; 6 grandchildren; brothers, Fiore and Domenic (Barbara) Piccolomini both of Uniontown, Pennsylvania; sisters, Enis (William) Argenti of Lorain, Connie (Carmen) Bart of New Smyrna Beach, Florida and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by granddaughter, JoAnna Piccolomini; brother, Louis Piccolomini and sister, Rita Montvilas; parents, Domenico and Ellen Piccolomini.
Friends may call Wednesday from 6-9 PM at the David Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Road, North Ridgeville. Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 11:00 AM in the funeral home. Rev. Bill Shomo will officiate.
Burial will be in Fields Cemetery, North Ridgeville.
