Vincent T. Farrell's Obituary
Vincent T. Farrell, age 75, of North Ridgeville, passed away peacefully at his home on November 14, 2016.
He was born on July 11, 1941 in Cleveland and has been a resident of North Ridgeville for the past 49 years, moving from Garfield Heights. Vincent served in the U.S. Army from 1959 to 1962. He was a Cub and Scout Master with Troup 153, Firelands Area Council and was a Senator in the Jaycees International organization. He worked as a clerk for the Board of Elections, retiring in 2004 after 18 ½ years of service and was very active with the Republican Party. He was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church, where he served as a Eucharistic Minister, was on the Spiritual Life Commission and was a member of Knights of Columbus Council 7970 and 4th Degree Assembly 3019, Father Vincent Capodanno.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Catherine (nee Blasko); children Vincent (Brice) Farrell of Junction City, KS, Christian (Lisa) Farrell of Westminster, MD, Mary (Bob) Steidl of North Ridgeville, Jennifer Farrell of Colorado Springs, CO and Patrick (Christine) Farrell of Burke, VA; 13 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; nieces and nephews
Vincent was preceded in death by his son Michael in 1974; parents Vincent and Jean (nee Kokal) Farrell; brother Tom Farrell; sisters Pat Duracensky, Marilyn Walters and Jean Mizick.
Family will receive friends in the Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Rd., N. Ridgeville on Wednesday from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m., with a Rosary Service conducted by the Knights of Columbus at 7:00 p.m. A prayer service will take place on Thursday at 9:30 a.m. preceding a 10:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Peter Catholic Church. Rev. Bob Franco will officiate. Interment with Military Honors will be in St. Peter Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to the St. Peter School Fund or a charity of your choice.
