Victor Pozzie's Obituary
Victor E. Pozzie, age 63, of Grafton, passed away Friday, October 28, 2011 at EMH Regional Medical Center, Elyria, following a long illness.
He was born in Welch, West Virginia and had been a resident of Grafton for the past two years, moving from Elyria where he lived for 21 years. He previously resided in Cleveland.
Victor served in the US Army during the Vietnam War.
He worked as a maintenance supervisor for Nylonge Corporation in Elyria from 1983-2006. He also worked as a tug engineer for Great Lakes Towing for 16 years.
He enjoyed reading and traveling.
Survivors include his wife of 43 years, Hazel (nee Holbrook); son, Victor (Rebecca) Pozzie of Lorain; granddaughters, Nicole and Virginia Pozzie; step-grandchildren, Jeremy Rader, Kristen Turner, David Turner; and his mother, Billie Pozzie of Grafton.
He was preceded in death by his father, Victor E. Pozzie.
Friends may call Monday, October 31, 2011 from 2:00 PM until the time of services at 5:00 PM at the David Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Road, North Ridgeville. Rev. Ron Gore will officiate.
