Veronica Thibo's Obituary
Veronica "Vera" Thibo (nee Kane), age 82, of North Ridgeville died on Friday, November 4, 2005 at Saint John Westshore Hospital, Westlake; following a long illness.
She was born on October 6, 1923 in Liverpool, England. She had been a resident of North Ridgeville since 1952.
She was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church; where she had volunteered on the bingo committee for many years and worked as a teacher aid at St. Peter School. She enjoyed being a home maker, baking, traveling, playing "Bingo", reading and watching live shows.
She was the owner of Thibo Greenhouse, Inc.; where she worked many long hours from 1952 until she retired in 1997.
She had served in the British Women's Air Force from 1942-1945.
Surviving are her sons, Thomas Thibo and Gerard (Linda) Thibo, both of North Ridgeville; daughters, Frances Thibo-Miller, of Gainesville, FL, Marcia Thibo, of North Ridgeville and Karen (Ron) Ware, of Eaton Township; five grandchildren; 1 sister, Tess Townson, of Liverpool, England.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Martin Thibo in 1989; her parents, John and Honora (nee McCarthy) Kane; brothers, Tom and John Kane; sisters, Josephine Cunningham, Nora McKeon and Catherine Sparrow.
The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 7-9 PM on Monday at the David Bogner Family Funeral Home 36625 Center Ridge Road North Ridgeville. A prayer service will be held at 9:30 AM on Tuesday in the funeral home. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:00 AM at St. Peter Catholic Church, 35777 Center Ridge Road, North Ridgeville. Reverend Doctor Richard Gonser, pastor of Saint Julie Billiart will be the celebrant.
Interment will follow in Saint Peter Cemetery, North Ridgeville.
