Timothy Pratt's Obituary
Timothy L Pratt, age 67 of Elyria, passed away Monday, January 25, 2021 at UH Elyria Medical Center. He was born March 25, 1953 in Madison, WV and had been a resident of Lorain County over half of his life. He worked in construction for Local 758 Laborer’s Union before retiring in 2013. Tim enjoyed fishing, riding his motorcycle, camping and the partying with friends and family. He never knew a stranger and was super social. You could count on Tim to give you a helping hand in anyway he could. Sometimes that helping hand was a temporary roof over your head, paid for a job he’d create to need done, help with your broken down car or give you a loan to help you get through a tough time. His personality and “Tim stories” will be talked about and remembered for decades. He was an open book who gave his opinions loud and free. He was tough and scrappy, there wasn’t a tough time, financial or otherwise, he wouldn’t fight his way out of. He was definitely one of kind and will be missed.
He is survived by his children Tracie (Jason) Wilkins of Pataskala, Karrie (Heath) Newman of Medina; grandchildren Jay (Katie), Klorissa “ET” (Tyler), Jacob, Jarod, Kiersten, Kylie and Cameron; great grandson Harper; sister Vicky Black of NC; brother Chuck (Rita) Pratt of Elyria; and many nieces and two nephews. He was preceded in death by his former spouse and friend Karen Pratt; parents Junior Clarence and Doris Juanita Pratt; brothers Rick and Brad Pratt. The family will have a celebration of life sometime late spring/early summer.
