Myself, parents and my siblings had the fortune of visiting my aunt Linda and Uncle Tom in America several years ago and it did not disappoint. Tom for sure the one we would go to for a laugh and some nonsense, especially winding up my Aunty Linda. I have found memories of my Uncle Tom that will never be forgotten and he will always be missed by all of us back here in Scotland. All my love to my Aunt Linda, Ryan and Rebecca in America <3 x
Stewart and I were fortunate to spend some lovely holidays both in America and Scotland with Tom and Linda.
Tom was always so very funny, kind, patient and selfless, a true gentleman, and the best Dad to Rebecca and Ryan.
Our children loved Tom, even meeting again after years apart he was always so lovely, we would all instantly be friends again and have fantastic fun.
We had many road trips Canada, Campbeltown, Edinburgh, Tom was always the same happy funny genuinely lovely man.
I am so sad for Linda Rebecca and Ryan.

Having read Tom's obituary I can confirm he was a funny guy, he was always looking for a laugh or a bit of nonsense. My family Rhona, Niamh, Louis and Isla visited my sister Linda and Tom several times since they got together. Tom was always welcoming and fun. On one occasion we were all trying to get out the door to go on a trip, no easy task as there must have been 9 of us. Tom and Linda had very different ideas about what needed to be done before we set off. Linda's patience with Tom's priorities wore a little thin and tempers were getting a little stretched, all normal domestic stuff. However when Rebecca joined in and they were both getting Tom told, Tom yelled, "get your own husband Becky". I don't really know why, perhaps you needed to be there, but this was funny.
I have put up a picture from about 32 years ago when Tom got a friend (Johnny Middleton)? to take Rhona and I out on the Lake. The picture is framed in our living room at home and has been for many many years. Tom was always generous with his time and really made the effort when we visited.
We will all miss you Tom.
