I remember the first time at Uncle Tom's home for a visit. We stayed for dinner and I evidently reached for something I shouldn't have and I got a tap on my hand with his butter knife. Was I embarrassed! We are so sorry to hear of Uncle Tom's passing. The first we heard of it was when I opened the Wednesday P. Dealer and the service was already over. We always liked Tommy. So many memories of such a wonderful man. Growing up in the neighborhood with his boys(they taught me how to play baseball), I am at a loss for words. All the summers at Palmer Field. so many games we watched. But I guess one of the classic memory is HIS CIGARS!!! I don't recall ever seeing him without one. Mrs. Nelson, Tommy, Danny, Kenny , Brian, all the Nelson grandchildren, and great grandchildren, my prayers are for you to find comfort in the memories you have and please know that Mr.Nelson will be missed by so many! HUGS!

I am sorry to have read of Dad's passing after a long, fulfilling and satisfying earthly life.
I won't be able to make it during the calling hours on Tuesday but will try to make it to the service on Wednesday morning, if at all possible. I hope to take care of several other things on Wednesday as I have a pretty busy agenda that I would like to take care of.
May Dad be at peace in his heavenly home.
