Thomas McMillen's Obituary
Thomas J. McMillen, age 98, of North Ridgeville, passed away at his home with his family by his side on August 31, 2013.
He was born on August 26, 1915 in Masontown, Pennsylvania and has lived in North Ridgeville for the past 63 years.
Thomas worked in the construction trades and was a 50 year member of the Laborers Local 860 in Cleveland, retiring in 1985.
He was a hardworking man, who was devoted to his family. In his spare time, he enjoyed watching baseball games, his train collection and for many years, spent time making ceramics with his wife Mildred.
Thomas is survived by his son Frank (Daphne) Minnick of GA; daughters Terry (Don) Frederick of Columbus, OH, Marie Phillips of FL, Barb (George) Kimble of North Ridgeville and Phoebe (John) Scholl of North Ridgeville; 17 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; brother Walter McMillen of PA; many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 44 years, Mildred; parents Walter and Barbara (nee Gunther) McMillen; sisters Marie and Ada; brother Harry.
Family will receive friends on Monday, September 2, from 5-8 p.m. in the Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Rd., North Ridgeville where Funeral Services will be held Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. Rev. Steven Long will officiate. Interment Resthaven Memory Gardens.
