Thomas R. Ault's Obituary
Thomas Richard Ault (better known as “Tom” or “Pap” to family and friends), 78, longtime resident of Elyria, passed away at University Hospitals Elyria Medical Center the morning of April 6, 2021.
Thomas graduated from Collinwood high school and went on to work as an air traffic controller, along with serving 4 years in the United States Air Force. He was very active in all of his family’s lives, and he especially loved watching his grandchildren’s sports games. Thomas loved golfing and was also always seen watching the History Channel.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Betty Ault Howald; his brother Ronald Ault; and his parents Arnold and Goldie Ault.
Thomas is survived by his loving wife of over 55 years, Patricia Ault (Kostreba); daughters Theresa (Jeffery) Gregory and Anmarie (Mark) Bors; his son, Thomas Jr.; and his grandchildren Joshua, Marissa, Brianna, Kayla, Devin, and Ryan.
Family and friends will be accepted on Thursday, April 8th at Bogner Family Funeral Home from 3-5 p.m., and on Friday April 9th from 10-11 a.m. There will be a short service succeeding Friday’s showing followed by the burial. Thomas will be buried with the rest of his late family at All Souls Cemetery in Chardon.
