Tammy Townsend's Obituary
Tammy L. (nee Bailey) Townsend, age 45, of Wellington, passed away surrounded by her family on Sunday, October 14, 2012 at the Ames Family Hospice House, Westlake,
Tammy was born March 4, 1967 in Elyria. She is survived by her loving husband of 28 years, Harry L. Townsend Jr.
Cherishing her memory are her beloved children, Amanda, Michael and Danielle Townsend, all of Wellington; grandson, Aidan Townsend; parents, William and Betty (nee Hopkins) Bailey, North Ridgeville; brothers, Mark Bailey, Elyria and Paul (Doreen) Bailey, LaGrange; sisters, Trish (Tim) Midkiff, Elyria and Becky (Jason) Keressi, Avon; and many nieces and nephews.
Tammy was a loan officer and worked in business development with Third Federal Bank in Avon. She was a member of Northcoast Building Industry Association and the Lorain County Association of Realtors, serving on several committees in both organizations. She was also Co-Chair of the Lorain County Home Builders Association. In her free time, Tammy enjoyed cooking, baking, sewing, reading, gardening and especially spending time with her family.
Funeral Services will be Friday, October 19 at 1:00 p.m. at Christian Unity Church, 36353 Capel Rd., Grafton, 44044. Rev. Eddie Hopkins will preside and burial will follow at Royalton Road Cemetery, Columbia Township. Family will receive friends in the Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Road, North Ridgeville on Thursday, 2-4 & 7-9 p.m., and on Friday at the church, from 12:00 p.m. until the time of services.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Danielle Townsend Scholarship Fund at any First Merit Bank Branch.
