Sue Gunter's Obituary
Sue O. Gunter, age 79, of Columbia Station, passed away on April 1, 2013 at the E.M.H. Regional Medical Center with her family by her side.
She was born on March 1, 1934 in Marshall, North Carolina to Edward and Eva (nee Chandler) Barnett, and had lived in Columbia Station for the past 38 years, moving from Cleveland. She was a member of Christian Unity Church in Grafton.
Sue was very active in her church and enjoyed gardening, baking and cooking for her family.
She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Ralph; sons, Clayton (Pat) of Brooklyn, Gerald (Pat) of Berea and Jeffry of Columbia Station; daughter, Karen (Dennis) Galdun of Valley City; grandchildren, Bryan, Katherine, Amanda, Kevin, Kiley, Jessica, Shannon and Dennis R.; 7 great grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; brother, Archie Barnett of Greensboro, NC; and sister, Christine Franklin of Marshall, NC.
Family will receive friends on Thursday from 6-9 p.m. in the Christian Unity Church, 36353 Township Highway 121, Grafton, OH 44044 where funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, April 5, 2013 with the Rev. Denver Daniel presiding. Additional visitation will be held for one hour prior to the funeral service and burial will take place in Columbia Cemetery.
