Steven J. Bakos' Obituary
Steven J. Bakos, age 60, of Grafton, passed away at his home on September 15, 2017 after a lengthy battle with cancer. He was born on September 13, 1957 in Cleveland, Ohio. Steven was the associate administrator of Southwest General respiratory care department and celebrated 37 years of service with Southwest General Hospital.
Steve was an avid train memorabilia collector and train photographer. Several of his train pictures were published in train books. He loved riding his motorcycle, woodworking, landscaping , gardening, cooking, he was a beer connoisseur (loved drinking & brewing different varieties of beers) but most of all Steve loved spending time with family and friends. He is survived by his wife Jacqulynn (nee Frederick), son Daniel (Christina) Bakos; daughter Katie (Glenn) Pickens; granddaughter Devon Pickens; brothers Gordon (Barb) Bakos, Scott (Natalia) Bakos and Thomas (Marge) Weber; stepmother Patricia Bakos and his "second father" John Swift Jr.; many nieces and nephews. Steve was proceeded in death by his son Michael Bakos and parents Alex and Carol (nee Crane) Bakos.
Memorial Service Saturday, September 23 at 3:00 p.m. in the Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Road, North Ridgeville, where family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. until time of service. Chaplain Jim Mitchell will officiate.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in Steve's name to a hospice of one's choice.
