Stephen Hujo's Obituary
Stephen J. Hujo, age 91, of North Ridgeville, passed away Friday, March 22, 2013, at Avon Oaks Nursing Home, following a short illness.
He was born in Natrona, Pennsylvania and has been a resident of North Ridgeville for over 60 years moving from Pittsburgh, Pa.
Stephen served in the U.S. Marine Corp during WWII.
He worked as an upholsterer for many years, retiring in 1985.
In his free time, he enjoyed woodworking, tinkering in his workshop and playing the lottery.
He was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church, North Ridgeville and Knights of Columbus Council 7970. He was past President of St. Peter Holy Name Society and a former member of the American Legion.
Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Margaret; sons, Michael (Pronom)Hujo of Panama City, Florida, Robert (Brenda) Hujo of Mason, Joseph Hujo of North Ridgeville, Timothy Hujo of Cincinnati, George Hujo of Fairview Park, Jeff (Ellen) Hujo of Avon; daughter, Kathleen (Duane) Jarvis of Grafton; 12 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; brother, Joseph (Eleanor) Hujo of Natrona, Pennsylvania; sister, Mary Rogalski of Natrona Hts., Pennsylvania. .
He was preceded in death by son, Stephen; parents and sister, Betty Valarik.
Friends and family may call Sunday from 2-5PM at the Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Rd., North Ridgeville where a prayer service will be held on Monday at 9:30 AM followed by a 10 AM Mass at St. Peter Catholic Church, 35777 Center Ridge Road, North Ridgeville. Rev. Bob Franco, Pastor, will be the celebrant. Burial will follow in St. Peter Cemetery where full military honors will be proformed by US Marines and VFW Post 9871 honor guard.
The Knights of Columbus Council 7970 will conduct a Rosary service at 4:30 PM Sunday in the funeral home.
