Stella Burkey's Obituary
Stella N. Burkey (nee Daksuis) age 85 Elyria, died Thursday, February 10, 2005 at Erie County Care Center following a long illness.
She was born May 8, 1919 in Cleveland, OH. She had resided in Elyria the past 20 years moving from North Ridgeville.
She worked as a Assembler for General Electric in Cleveland.
She enjoyed playing bingo and helping others. She was a member of VFW 1079 Ladies Auxillary, Elyira AMVETS in Elyria, Eagles in Elyria, YMCA in Elyira, Ladies of the Moose, Elyria and the United Polish Club in Lorain.
Surviving are her son, Robert James Burkey of Sandusky, step-son, Bill Burkey, New Jersey; two grandchildren, and four great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by Husband Carl, sister Franes Polo and Parents, Anton and Stella Daksuis.
Friends will be received Tuesday from 10:00 AM until the time of services at 11 AM at the David Bogner Family Funeral Home 36625 Center Ridge Road, North Ridgeville. Reverend Charles Ryba, Pastor of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church will be the celebrant. Interment will follow in the Resthaven Memory Gardens, Avon, Ohio.
