Stan Dudchenko's Obituary
Stan Dudchenko, age 79, of Lakewood, passed away on Tuesday, July 10, 2018 at O’Neill Health Care. He was born on January 20, 1939 in Poltava, Ukraine, and has been a resident of Lakewood for the past 20 years, moving from Sheffield Lake. He worked at Ohio Screw Products as a Tool Maker. He was a member of the U.S. Army. Heaven gained an angel, a jokester, a loving heart, a survivor and an insatiably curious mind. You fought bravely. Beat incredible odds. And you will forever live on in our hearts, in our jokes, the stories we tell and your words of wisdom we live by and share. He is survived by his wife Kathleen (nee Juchem); son Paul (Emma) Dudchenko of Scotland; daughters Christine (Charles) Blankenship of Cleveland, Amy (Michael) Stringer of Lakewood, Mary (Larry) Gibson of Bay Village, Liz (Robert) Marx of Dumfries, VA, Angela (William) Wtulich of Sheffield Lake; 17 grandchildren, and 2 great-grandchildren. Stan was preceded in death by his parents Wasyl and Kateryna Dudzenko. Family will receive friends in the Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Rd., N. Ridgeville on Thursday from 5-8 p.m. and on Friday at 9:30 a.m. for a Prayer Service preceding a 10:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Peter Parish, 35777 Center Ridge Rd., N. Ridgeville. Rev. Charles Ryba will officiate. Burial will follow in St. Peter Cemetery. In Lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Catholic Charities at www.ccdocle.org.
