Sondra Jean Jirousek's Obituary
Sondra Jean Jirousek (nee Lumadue), age 85, of North Ridgeville, passed away on Tuesday, March 29, 2022 at the Northridge Health Center in North Ridgeville.
She was born on June 12, 1936 in Elyria, and has lived in North Ridgeville for the past 55 years. Sondra worked as an LPN for the Lorain County Blood Bank, retiring after 27 years of service.
In her youth, Sondra competed in roller derby’s, and more recently, enjoyed being outside. She found her greatest joy in spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Sondra’s family would like to give a special thanks to all the nurses and staff at the Northridge and Hospice of the Western Reserve for the wonderful care they provided her.
She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Donald; daughter Malinda (Gary) Killiany; son Steven (Paula) Jirousek; grandchildren Joseph (Shannen) Killiany, Kate (Andy) Finn, Hannah Obremski, Stephanie Jirousek, Gwendolyn (Shawn) Sauer; 4 great grandchildren; brother Dick (Barb) Lumadue.
Sondra was preceded in death by her daughter Yvonne Sauer; son Dale Jirousek; parents Dale and Irene (nee Braden) Lumadue.
Graveside service will be held on Friday, April 8 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Peter Cemetery, 35777 Center Ridge Road, North Ridgeville (PLEASE MEET DIRECTLY AT CEMETERY). Rev. Bob Franco will officiate.
