Siegfried Franke's Obituary
Siegfried H. Franke, age 93, of North Ridgeville, passed away Monday, April 22, 2013 at Life Care Center of Elyria.
He was born May 18, 1919 in Ruven Krs. Solden, Germany and moved to Cleveland in 1952. He had been a resident of North Ridgeville since 1960.
Mr. Franke served in the German Air Force during World War II. He worked as a carpenter with Carpet Union 212 for over 50 years, retiring in 1981. In his free time, he enjoyed spending time with his family and bird watching.
Survivors include his daughter, Sonja Miller of Largo, Florida; son, Ranier (Liz) Franke of North Ridgeville; 6 grandchildren; and 12 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Herta Franke in 2006; daughter, Undine Franke; son, Holger Franke; parents, Herbert and Ida Frankowsky; brother, Gerhard Frankowsky; and son-in-law, John T. Miller.
Friends may call on Sunday from 5-7 p.m. in the Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Road, North Ridgeville, where funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, April 29, 2013. Burial will follow at St. Peter Cemetery, North Ridgeville.
