Shirley L. Winson's Obituary
Shirley L. Winson (nee Noble), age 87, of North Ridgeville, passed away on Tuesday, December 26, 2023 at Ames Family Hospice House in Westlake.
She was born in Ashtabula, where she lived for 32 years before moving to North Ridgeville in 1976.
Shirley worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse for various area nursing homes from 1984-2002. She then went on to work for the Lorain County Department on Aging retiring in 2014.
She enjoyed going to casinos, playing pinocle, taking care of her yard, cutting down trees, sewing and raising her children.
Survivors include her sons, Terry (Karen) Smith of Willoughby, Wayne (Patti) Smith of Mentor, daughters, Diane (Ed) Mann of Elyria, Sandy (Bill) Tsavaris of Mansfield, Bonnie K. Sefcik of North Olmsted, Lori S. Smith of Elyria, 9 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lenny in 1998, former husband, L. Dale Smith, parents, Robert and Gladys (nee Leonard) Noble, brothers, Albert and Robert Noble, half-brother, Paul Massena, half-sister, Laura Massena, son-in-law, Wayne Sefcik and grandson, Scott D. Sefcik.
The family will receive friends Saturday December 30, 2023 from 10 AM until time of services at 11 AM at Bogner Family Funeral Home 36625 Center Ridge Road North Ridgeville. Pastor Colin Toomey will officiate. Private burial will take place later at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Elyria.
