Sara E. Matty's Obituary
Sara E. Matty (nee Harvey), age 80, of North Ridgeville, passed away on Tuesday, July 18, 2023 at Ames Family Hospice House in Westlake.
She was born in Grindstone, Pennsylvania and had been a resident of North Ridgeville for the past 53 years.
Sara worked for Westvaco for 38 years, retiring in 2005.
She enjoyed gardening, shopping, outdoor concerts, going out to eat and attending her granddaughters’ events.
Survivors include her daughter, Pam (Brian) Cordy of North Ridgeville, grandchildren, Hanna and Kara, siblings, Alva Harvey, Betty Jane Aldridge, many cousins, nieces and nephews and close friend, Jim Rolsten.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald, parents, James and Sara (nee Hugland) Harvey, siblings James, William, Samuel and Ken Harvey, Mary Lou Webster and Evelyn Vaji.
Friends may call on Sunday from 2-6PM at the Bogner Family Funeral Home. Services will be held on Monday at 9AM in the funeral home. Burial will be at Resthaven Memory Gardens in Avon. Pastor Chuck Behrens will officiate.
