Sally J. Davis' Obituary
Sally Davis (nee McCormick), age 83, a long-time resident of North Ridgeville and most recently residing in Westerville (Ohio), passed away on August 2, 2015, after a short illness.
She was born on October 30, 1931, in Barnesboro, Pennsylvania, and had been a resident of North Ridgeville for more than 40 years, having recently moved to Westerville, a suburb of Columbus, to be near her daughters, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She and her husband, Clarence "Click" Davis, were founding members of St. Julie Billiart Catholic Church in North Ridgeville. She was a lifetime supporter of the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation and worked in its Westlake office for several years. Sally was also active in numerous clubs, organizations, groups and service activities at St. Julie Billiart throughout her years as a parishioner. As many of her friends can attest, she enjoyed (and dreaded) watching her beloved Browns play on Sundays during the NFL season. Sally will be remembered with a smile for the wonderful meals she prepared with love for her husband and family.
Sally will also be remembered by those who knew her as a high-spirited, genuinely kind, generous woman who loved her family and her many friends with all her heart and always encouraged them to love and take care of one another. Her life was well led and she will be so dearly missed.
Sally is survived by her beloved husband, Click Davis, with whom she shared a loving marriage for 59 years. She is also survived by her three daughters, Becky Jane Covey, Julie Ann Sullivan and Linda Diane Davis; grandchildren, Jeff (Christine) Dennis and Carly (Kasey) Trimboli, and her great-grandchildren, Luke Jeffrey Dennis, Ashlynn Jane Dennis and Charlie Rose Trimboli.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Sr. and Mary Mildred (nee Sharbaugh) McCormick; and by her brothers Robert and Jack McCormick.
Family will receive friends in the Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Rd., N. Ridgeville on Friday, August 7, from 11:00 a.m. until the time of a 12:30 p.m. prayer service preceding a 1:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Julie Billiart Catholic Church, 5500 Lear Nagle Rd, North Ridgeville. Interment will be in St. Peter's Cemetery, N. Ridgeville.
In lieu of flowers or gifts, the family requests that donations be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (http://jdrf.org/get-involved/ways-to-donate/).
