Ruth Stone's Obituary
Ruth B. Stone (nee Martin), age 81, of Elyria; died Sunday at her residence following a long illness.
She was born in Kermit, WV. She had been a resident of Elyria the past two years. She had been a resident of North Ridgeville for 30 years; before moving to Bradenton, FL in 1979 and then to Columbus, OH in1995; before returning to Lorain county in 2002.
Mrs. Stone, over the years, had worked as an assembler for Harrison Tool Co., North Ridgeville and did nursing in Cleveland and Bradenton; before retiring in 1995.
She was a member of the Grove City Church of God and a former member of the North Ridgeville Church of God; where she served as Ladies Ministry.
Her hobbies included gardening, flowers, crafts and quilting.
She is survived by her daughters, Donna Houston, of Columbus, OH, Darlene Starr, of Point Pleasant, WV, Janice Siron, of AuGras, MI and Joyce Novosielski, of Elyria; 16 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; 9 great-great-grandchildren; brother, Emerson Martin, of Nova, OH; sisters, Macie McQuard, of Wellington and Lorain Stone, of Sheffield Lake.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Charles R. Stone (2001); her parents, Sebastian and Victoria (nee Muncy) Martin; grandson, Bart Starr; sisters, Della Cole and Norma Green; brothers, Hayes, Jerry and Ben Martin.
The family will receive friends on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM in the David Bogner Family Funeral Home 36625 Center Ridge Road North Ridgeville. The funeral service will be on Tuesday at 1:30 PM at the North Ridgeville Church of God, 6000 Lear Nagle Road, North Ridgeville. Her grandson, Bishop Tim Houston, of the Virginia Church of God, will officiate.
Burial will be in Resthaven Memory Gardens, Avon.
