Ruth Delk's Obituary
Ruth Delk, age 88, of North Ridgeville and formerly of Oberlin, passed away quietly on Monday evening, November 5, 2012 at Center Ridge Health Campus, North Ridgeville.
Born August 30, 1924 in Detroit, MI to the late Brighton Slaughter and Lucile Williams, Ruth was the wife of Warren Delk. He passed from this life on February 27, 2010.
Her daughters, Janet and Barbara, son, Gregory, and a son in infancy, also preceded her in death.
Ruth was a homemaker and had worked as a monitor at Oberlin College, as well as caring for children in her home for several years. She enjoyed sewing, doing crafts, reading and spending time with her grandchildren. Of the many things Ruth enjoyed, she had a desire to serve her Creator, Jehovah God, and to help others learn the Bible.
She is survived by a daughter, June Sharp; beloved grandchildren including three whom she raised, Kandi (Kyle) Withers who was her caregiver, Dionna Anderson and Anastasia Sharp; and Lamar Green and Julian Sharp; ten great grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren.
Memorial services will be held at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, November 10, 2012 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 39099 Chestnut Ridge Road, Elyria.
The Bogner Family Funeral Home, North Ridgeville, is assisting the family.
