Ruth Bristow's Obituary
Ruth E. Bristow (nee Hill), age 73, of North Ridgeville, died Friday evening at her home following a lengthy illness.
She was born in Crab Orchard, TN and had lived in North Ridgeville since 1936.
She had worked as a punch press operator for 27 years at Erdie Paper Tube in Lorain.
Mrs. Bristow enjoyed her pet birds, gardening, flowers and feeding birds and squirrels.
She was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary, Post # 9871, North Ridgeville.
She is survived by her daughters, Sandra Sopko, of North Ridgeville and Kelly Kommersmith, of Elyria; sons, Robert Bristow, of Elyria, Tom Bristow, of Sheffield Lake and Richard Bristow, of Elyria; 8 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren; brothers, Richard Hill, of Elyria and Cecil Hale, of Boynton Beach, FL.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles C. Bristow, in 1997; her parents George Hill and Sally (nee Johnson) Hale, a sister, Clara Tompkins and three brothers, Walter Fuell, Bo Fuell and Charles Hill.
Friends may call Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at David Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Road, North Ridgeville; where funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 11:00 AM. Reverend Bill Shomo will officiate.
Burial will be in Resthaven Memory Gardens, Avon.
