Russell Edward Morris' Obituary
Russell Edward Morris, age 88, of North Ridgeville, passed away on Friday, January 13, 2017 at New Life Hospice Residential Center in Lorain.
He was born in Old Washington and had been a resident of North Ridgeville since 1950 moving from Elyria.
He served in the US Army and worked in maintenance for Elyria City Schools, retiring in 1990.
He was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Elyria and the VFW Post 1079 in Elyria.
He enjoyed camping, watching sports and working outside.
Survivors include his daughter, Sheryl (David) Timbs of Vermilion; son, Gary (Mary Annette) of North Ridgeville; grandchildren, Misty, Cory, and Cody Timbs, Amanda and Gary Morris, II; great-grandchildren, Hannah, Garrett and Logan Wright, Alex Billings, Carrson and Mason Morris, Alex and Rivers Casarez, Alyvia and Luke Jr. Hernandez; sister, Edna (Clyde) Horton of Elyria; brother, Earl (Dorothy) Morris of Florida; sisters-in-law, Audrey Morris of Avon, Pauline Markel of Elyria and Irene (Gerald) Camp of LaGrange.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret; brothers, Charles and Dean Morris; sisters, Josephine Abels and Hilda Morris and parents, Friend Richard and Mary Mae (nee Cunningham) Morris.
Friends may call Monday from 4 PM until 8 PM at Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Road, North Ridgeville and on Tuesday from 10 AM until time of service at 11 AM at Grace Lutheran Church, 9685 E River Rd, Elyria. Pastor Robert Weldon, Sr., will officiate.
Burial will be in Fields Cemetery, North Ridgeville.
