Russell Looman , Sr.'s Obituary
Russell Looman Sr., age 78, of North Ridgeville, passed away on June 11, 2016 at the Southwest General Residential Hospice in Strongsville after an extended illness.
He was born on June 20, 1937 in Mannington, WV and has been a resident of North Ridgeville for the past 58 years. He worked as a tow motor operator for Fischer Body for over 30 years until they closed in 1988, then moved on the G.M. Chevy Plant in Parma, retiring in 1993.
Russell enjoyed golfing, playing softball and horseshoes. He was a lover of country music, and played the bass guitar in his band.
He is survived by his sons Russell “Rick” Looman Jr. of North Ridgeville and Steve Looman of Waukegan, IL; grandchildren Katelyn, Nicole and Russell III; great grandchildren Emily, Cortany and Zachary; many nieces and nephews.
Russell was preceded in death by his wife Avis L. in 2014; parents John M. and Mary Louise (nee Yost) Looman; 4 sisters.
Funeral Services on Wednesday at 12:30 p.m. in the Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Rd., N. Ridgeville where family will receive friends from 10:30 a.m. until time of service. R
