Russell T. Blakeslee's Obituary
Russell T. Blakeslee, age 69, of Elyria, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his children, on Saturday, December 30, 2017 at Stein Hospice Care Center in Sandusky following a lengthy illness.
He was born in Elyria and had lived most of his life in Vermilion before moving to Elyria 15 years ago.
He worked as an HVAC technician for many years.
Russell enjoyed fishing, gardening, landscaping and playing with his cats. He was a great neighbor, who was always watching out for them.
Survivors include his daughter, Jodi (Eric) Fannin of Collins; sons, Brent of Vermilion, Jason of Elyria; step-daughter, Dawn (Mike Kalabogias) Minnich of Parma; step-son, Darrin Petrauskis of Avon; grandsons, Garrett and Gavin Fannin; step-grandsons, Cody Smith, Sean Minnich and Alex Petrauskis.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Kathy Blakeslee (nee Lester) and parents, Russell A. and Jeanne (nee Jackson) Blakeslee.
Memorial calling hours where held Wednesday January 3, 2018 from 5-7PM at the Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Rd. North Ridgeville.
A graveside service will be held 12:30 PM Friday April 20, 2018 at Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst. Reverend Al Bunt will officiate.
