Rudolph "Rudy" Piskuran's Obituary
Rudolph “Rudy” Piskuran, was killed at the age 19 when a torpedo struck his ship, the USS Oklahoma at Pearl Harbor, December 7, 1941.
Rudy was a 1940 graduate of Elyria High School who played basketball and sang in the chorus.
Although his parents, William and Julia (nee Mihicz), and siblings, Julia Suta, Walter , and Elmer, did not live to see Rudy come home, he is survived by a host of relatives who never forgot about the one who gave his life for our county.
He will be laid to rest next to his parents at St. Mary’s Cemetery (Elyria) on Friday, October 14, 2016 at 11 AM with full military honors.
