Ruby J. Johnson's Obituary
Ruby J. Johnson (nee VanBrunt), age 84, of Orwell passed away Saturday February 15, 2020 at Eagle Point Skilled Nursing Center, Orwell, Ohio.
She was born in Flint, Michigan and has lived in North Ridgeville since 1980 until moving to Orwell in 2007.
Mrs. Johnson worked as a housekeeper for Lutheran Home in Westlake, retired in 1997 after 13 years.
She enjoyed reading, gardening and watching TV.
Survivors include daughter, Penny Barnes of Orwell, granddaughters, Candy Mitchell and Cynthia Mesterhazy, 4 great- grandchildren, 1 great- great- grandchild, sister Barbara Rhodes of Grand Planc, Michigan, nephew, Dale Cradall of Florida, stepfather, Glenn Farrand and many friends at Eagle Point.
She was preceded in death by her husband Leonard in 1999, parents Peter and Helen Van Brunt, sister Pearl Kornele of Alva, Oklahoma.
The family will receive friends Thursday from 10AM until time of services at 11AM at Bogner Family Funeral Home 36625 Center Ridge Rd N. Ridgeville. Rev. Alan Jenkins will officiate. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memory Gardens, Avon. In honor of Ruby, the family request guests to dress casually.
