Roxie Sharon's Obituary
Roxie Sharon Abt (nee Philpot), age 62 of North Ridgeville, passed away Wednesday at her home following a long illness.
She was born in Wallins Creek, Kentucky and had been a resident of North Ridgeville since 1976 moving from North Olmsted where she lived for 15 years.
Mrs. Abt worked in administration at Elyria United Methodist Village for 15 years retiring in 2000.
She was a member of Cathedral of Life, North Ridgeville.
She loved to read, play her guitar, sing gospel music, spend time with her grandchildren and volunteer at the Oasis Animal shelter in Oberlin.
Survivors include her son, Vincent (Carolyn) of LaGrange; two grandsons, Conner and Nathaniel Abt; brothers, Ronnie Philpot of Floyd Knobs, Indiana; Robert Saylor of Hindman, Kentucky; sister, Mrs. Gene (Yvonne) Lawson of North Ridgeville.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Abt in April 2005; father, Delbert Philpot , mother, Sarah Saylor and step-father Robert Saylor.
Friends may call Friday from 2-4 and 7-9PM at the David Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Road, North Ridgeville. Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 10:00AM in the funeral home. Rev. Jamie Howell, Pastor of Cathedral of Life will officiate.
Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Park, North Olmsted.
