Rosetta Stevens' Obituary
Rosetta Stevens (nee Proffitt) age 67, passed away on Saturday, April 4, 2020 at University Hospital in Cleveland after a lengthy illness.
She was born on October 8, 1952 in Montgomery West Virginia and has been a resident of Columbia Station for the past 5 years, moving from North Ridgeville. She worked in housekeeping at the Renaissance Nursing Home in North Olmsted and the Southern Hills Nursing Home in Middleburg Heights for many years. Rosetta was a member of North Eaton Baptist Church. In her free time, Rosetta enjoyed bingo and going to yard sales, but found her greatest joy in spending time with her grandchildren and family.
She is survived her children Steve (Erica) Stevens of Columbia Station, Waytman (Brenda) Stevens of Berea, Rosilie Stevens of North Ridgeville and Clinton (Betsy) Stevens of Columbia Station; 43 grandchildren and great grandchildren; sisters Jane Heatwole and Linda Marker; brothers Jeff, Glen and Larry Proffitt; many nieces and nephews. Rosetta was preceded in death by her parents Martin and Florence (nee Young) Proffitt; brothers Martin, Jerry, Roy and Carrol Proffitt; sister Shelby Elkins. Services will be private. Private interment will be in Ridgeville Cemetery, North Ridgeville.
