Rosaline A. Vitalie's Obituary
Rosaline A. Vitalie (nee Monteleone), age 88, of Elyria, passed away on Tuesday, November 28, 2023 at her home.
She was born on September 4, 1935 in Johnstown, PA and has been a resident of Elyria since 1958. She was a very active member of St. Jude Parish in Elyria, where she was part of the Altar and Rosary Societies. She worked as a secretary at Lorain County Community College for many years. Rosaline enjoyed reading, going on walks, watching crime shows and playing cards. She loved her Poodles and truly enjoyed creating holiday ceramics.
She is survived by her grandchildren Michael (Jennifer) Newbraugh, Nicole (Darius Jackson) Newbraugh and Christine (Frankie) Martinez; 10 great grandchildren; brother Joseph Monteleone; sister Lucille Trott; son-in-law Ronald Newbraugh; many nieces and nephews.
Rosaline was preceded in death by her husband Edward; daughter Rosemarie Newbraugh; parents Dominick and Lucy Monteleone; sisters Connie Monteleone, Catherine Pszyinski, Mary Jane Ressler and Camille Moore; brother Vincent Monteleone.
Family will receive friends in the Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36626 Center Ridge Rd., N. Ridgeville, on Thursday, December 7 from 4-7 p.m. and on Friday for a 9:45 a.m. prayer service preceding a 10:30 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Jude Church, 590 Poplar St., Elyria, 44035. Rev. Joseph Scalco will officiate. The family suggests donations be made in Rosaline’s name to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 6704, Hagerstown, MD 21741 or the Catholic Community Foundation, Attn: Madelyn Zone, 1404 East Ninth Street, Cleveland, OH 44114.
