Robert Ziegman's Obituary
Robert J. "Bob" Ziegman, age 78, of North Ridgeville, passed away Wednesday, May 26, 2010 at his home following a short illness.
He was born in Lorain and had moved to North Ridgeville in 1958.
Bob had served in the US Air Force during the Korean War.
He graduated from Lorain High Class of 1950, then attended Ohio University in Athens and Wimmer Neon Tube Bending School in Aurora, Missouri and subsequently ran a neon fabricating shop serving local sign companies. He also worked for 20 years at Bendix in Elyria retiring in 1994. He previously worked as an Electronics technician for Nasa Lewis Research Center for 12 years.
He was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church, North Ridgeville and a former member of the Experimental Aircraft Association.
He enjoyed being a private pilot and was an avid golfer.
Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Gretchen (nee Peterson); daughters, Greta Ziegman of North Ridgeville, Nancy (Randy) Wolfinger of Finksburg, Maryland; grandchildren, Peter and Julie Wolfinger.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Sylvester and Veronica (nee Stolarik) Ziegman.
Friends may call Friday from 5 to 8PM at the David Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Road, North Ridgeville where a prayer service will be held on Saturday at 9:30 AM. A 10AM mass will follow at St. Peter Catholic Church, 35777 Center Ridge Road, North Ridgeville. Burial will be in St. Peter Cemetery.
