Robert J Tanko's Obituary
Robert J. Tanko, age 82, of Lorain, passed away Sunday, August 2, 2015.
He was born in Cleveland, and lived in North Royalton before moving to Lorain 32 years ago.
Robert was a member of the Iron Workers Union, Local 17 Cleveland for 61 years, and AARP. He attended Ohio University and enjoyed traveling and cruises through the Mediterranean.
Survivors include his son, Michael Tanko of North Royalton; daughters, Barbara Tanko of Amherst, and Gwynn Whited of Tenn; 9 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild; stepsons, Dan Stockard of PA, and Douglas Stockard of WI; dear friend and close companion Mary Seifert of North Ridgeville..
He was preceded in death by his wives, Betty Tanko and Jeanne A. Tanko; parents, Leslie and Ella Tanko; son, William (Billy) Tanko; daughter, Diane Upchurch; stepchildren, David, Diane, and Deborah Stockard.
Friends may call Saturday, August 8, 2015 from 10AM until time of Memorial Service at 12 noon, at Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Road, North Ridgeville.
Pastor Dan Burgoyne will officiate.
